RE: Cape May!!! Any suggestions on campgrounds???

Sorry but I can't recommend any good ones but can steer you away from a bad one. Holly Shores! In all fairness it was quite a many years ago I was there, but would NEVER GO BACK! Dirty bathrooms, tents stacked one on top of another. Didn't enjoy ANY of it.

RE: A triumphant return to tenting!

We have a 33' 87 Coachman that we leave at a campground all year long. Last summer we (me and my boys) built a 33' x 8' deck with a roof (guess you could call it a porch) that we use just about every weekend from April to November. But with gas going up every day it looks as though we won't be going up EVERY weekend. 65 bucks to fill wifes SUV plus all the driving we do while we are up there. So we are looking at getting back into tenting as a off weekend. My grandchildren and nephew LOVED it when we took them out tenting a couple of years ago. So it is a cost factor as well as variety. We would tent within 50 miles of home.

RE: TT Rear Lounge What do you suggest.

Here is a question. I understand the interior, fridge, heaters, plumbing, etc etc, when purchasing a rig in a private sale, what do I need to look for? I guess what I am trying to say is wheels, wheel bearings, etc. If I purchase a used TT what am I looking for as far as towing. I am not saying this correctly I know, Sorry! Purchasing an older rig to tow, what hazards to I need to watch for. For example I have an 87 Coachman, IF I were to want to tow this,(parked at cg entire time I owned it.)(brand new tires 2 years ago and all lights work) Sorry I can seem to get my question out right this morning. OK how is this if I am going to be towing do I have to buy a 2 year old or newer trailer to feel safe? What would some pitfalls be of an older trailer?

RE: TT Rear Lounge What do you suggest.

Thank You all for your replys. I will check out Tom Schaffers, my Uncle bought his 5th wheel there, and in fact I just bought a foot flushie for my current rig there this summer. I will be looking at different brands, without a doubt! I am DEFINETLY NOT locked into any one maker. I have had a 33' Coachman for about 15 years now and have never had any REAL problems. (Just old age stuff)haha The Timberlodge by Adventure surely looks like the one we were looking at. I know it did say Glacier on it, but don't know if that was a model. I had emailed Glacier Bay and a VERY NICE salesman emailed me back saying it sounded like the Timberlodge RLS. When I viewed the floor plan it looked like it. But we have time and aren't in any rush, so we CAN SHOP! If anyone has any suggestions on other brands with that type of floor plan I AM ALL EARS! Thanks Guys!

TT Rear Lounge What do you suggest.

Good Morning Everyone, I am looking for information regarding TT with a rear lounge OR a rear kitchen. DW and I were at RV and Boat Warehouse yesterday in Hamburg Pa and found a Timberland or Timberline Glacier 32 RL that we BOTH loved. (Miracles never End) It is a 2003 but I can not find ANY information on it anywhere. There are NONE for sale ANYWHERE except this dealer. I don't know if that is good or bad. (good meaning everybody is keeping them because they are great, or bad because they all fell apart ? haha) Can anyone make any suggestions AND OR give me any info on this model. I called the dealer back this morning and spoke with another salesman he told me they aren't making that model any longer.? I am looking to stay in the 30 -34 foot range. The other option we REALLY like about the Glacier was that there was a rear room (small but big enough) that could be used for a tiny office/t set of bunk beds for the grand kids IF they decided to go out with us. You guys are ALWAYS A WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE, Thank you in advance for any help/suggestions. Cheers
